ABB - Tradeshow
The Electricity, Distribution, Information Systems and Technology (EDIST) conference and exhibition will be held at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa from Tuesday May 30th to Thursday June 1st, 2023.
The conference offers an exceptional educational opportunity for those in the electricity, distribution, information systems, and technology fields. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in presentations by industry leaders and engage in multi-track enrollment covering engineering, operations, and information technology.
In addition, this event is a great opportunity to build professional relationships, network with peers, and visit cutting-edge exhibitor booths.
The theme of the tradeshow organized by the Electricity Distributors Association (EDA) is Transformation: Elevating the Electricity Sector to New Heights. Attendees will be invited to address critical issues faced by local distribution companies (LDCs) and provincial utilities such as decentralized energy and electrical vehicle (EV) impacts on power line transmission and distribution among others.
The delegates will have the opportunity to enroll and participate in EDIST’s multi-track conferences (engineering, operations or information technology), to network and get acquainted with other industry experts, and to discuss with manufacturers, suppliers and service providers.
We invite you to join us for this exciting event and engage in valuable discussions about the future of the electricity sector. Come by booth 54 to discover ABB’s medium voltage product offering. ABB Canada representatives will gladly chat with you about overhead connectors, underground distribution products, and cable accessories for brands such as:
“The industry is changing from what it’s been to what it’s going to be. So, there’s a lot of decentralized energy, what the EV impact is going to be to our overall power line transmission and distribution in our future system. So, I am very keen to learn and to be on the front edge of what’s going to happen in our industry.“ 1 says Simon Wu, Rideau St. Lawrence Distribution.
“It’s been great to meet some new faces and potentially some contacts to be able to network with and as a small utility, we’re always looking for people to be able to network with and see what they are do-ing and share experience.” 1 adds Jordan Nickason of Lakeland Power.
“The sessions whether it comes to engineering, operation or information allow us to understand what the future holds and what the futures challenges can be in addition to understanding what the present looks like.” 1 concludes Adds Mehak Sajjad of UTS Consultants.
Attendees can register online on EDA’s website and secure a discounted rate at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Center and Spa located at 8500 Warden Avenue Markham, ON.
