1. Who is eligible to participate in the promotion?
Any ABB Signature Service electrical distributor branch in Canada.
2. How can branches participate?
Branches must complete specific growth activities. See “How to participate” section.
3. Is a branch that opened in 2023 eligible to earn ballots for sales growth?
Since sales growth is measured on incremental sales, only branches with a full year of sales activity in 2023 can earn ballots for sales growth. However, these branches can still earn ballots for all other activities, such as product conversions, joint sales calls and PowerTrainTM modules.
4. What is an eligible product conversion?
A product conversion is the displacement of a competitor’s product line to be replaced by an ABB product. This is not a one-time sale but rather a decision to carry an ABB product rather than a competitor’s product.
5. At what point do we consider a conversion eligible?
Significant work must be completed. ABB Regional Managers must approve.
6. Can branches earn ballots for PowerTrainTM modules already completed by branch employees prior to January 1, 2024?
Modules completed in 2023 and prior are not eligible.
7. Will meals won during quarterly draws take place in the winter months?
As much as possible, events will be scheduled to avoid winter months, during appropriate seasons with reasonable temperatures for a BBQ. However, the winning branch and the ABB representative can agree to have a catered indoor event at any time.
8. Are the meals won during quarterly draws for end-user customers?
The meals are to reward the branch employees and to bring ABB reps closer to the distributors.
9. How will winning branches be determined?
Winning branches will be determined in random draws for each ABB sales region held after each quarter.
10. Can prizes be transferred or exchanged for their monetary value?
Prizes cannot be transferred and have no monetary value for holders. Should prize winners be unable to enjoy prizes as awarded, no compensation will be made.
11. Can the ballots be accumulated throughout the year?
Ballots are calculated at the end of every quarter. Product conversions, PowertrainTM modules and sales growth % cannot be accumulated throughout the year. Data is reset on the first day of each quarter to calculate ballots for the new quarter. Ballots earned in each quarter will be used for quarterly draws for catered meals, BBQs /coffee machines and Bluetooth speakers.
